Job Description

Good Giant is the largest gaming-focused advertising agency in the United States and operates in Reno, Nevada, Mobile, Alabama, Chicago, Illinois and Tulsa, Oklahoma. We provide comprehensive marketing services to various brands with a specialization on tribal and commercial casino resorts from coast to coast.

Animation is everywhere. No matter the campaign or promotion, there’s always something that could use an animator’s touch. We’re looking for a highly skilled and technically driven Animator to join our Production team. This role is central to our digital content output-particularly for our casino and resort clients, where we produce animated digital signage at a high volume and across dozens of specifications. The ideal candidate is an expert in Adobe After Effects and Premiere and has experience supervising and mentoring other animators. Strong collaboration and communication skills are critical, as you’ll be working directly with producers, art directors, designers, and account teams.

This position also requires oversight of our junior animation team. Familiarity with templated production workflows, efficient file management, and digital signage best practices is a must. The ability to support video editing for TV, web, and social applications is a core part of the role. This is a full-time position reporting to the Production Director. Location in one of our office markets (Mobile or Reno) preferred, but hybrid or remote arrangements will be considered based on candidate and team structure.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Animate and edit video content for a wide variety of digital applications, including large-scale digital signage
  • Collaborate with producers, designers, art directors, and account teams to deliver high-quality animation work on time and on brand
  • Review work from our junior animation team providing feedback as needed
  • Build, manage, and refine reusable templates in After Effects for efficiency and scalability
  • Create and composite 2D/3D motion graphics (typography, logos, transitions, graphic elements)
  • Edit and color grade live-action video footage in Premiere, including deliverables for TV, web, and social media
  • Support TV/video editing where applicable and appropriate
  • Source and manipulate stock assets as needed
  • Master and finalize video for delivery across multiple formats
  • Use critical thinking to anticipate and solve creative and technical problems
  • Apply ongoing research and skill growth to improve output and workflow
  • Efficiently manage time and tasks; consistently meet deadlines
  • Maintain and update required software, hardware, and asset organization systems
  • Assist in maintaining assets and projects using the departmental archiving system

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of professional experience in animation, post-production, or motion design
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience
  • Knowledge of most of the following workflows: TV, web video, digital signage, and other video executions
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of broadcast/streaming best practices and methodology
  • Strong willingness to learn and roll up sleeves in a fast-paced environment
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize under shifting deadlines
  • Willingness to work an alternative schedule when deadlines require
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Intuitive problem solver with the ability to drive resolution
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere, Illustrator, Photoshop, Audition)
  • Experience managing and training team members
  • Drawing, graphic design, and color theory skills
  • Photography and videography experience a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with file sharing, transfer applications, and file management systems

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Familiarity with Cinema 4D or other 3D software
  • Working knowledge of digital signage networks and playback specs
  • Experience with AI tools for animation or editing considered a plus
  • Comfortable with our production tech stack and workflows, including communication (Email, Slack), project management (ClickUp), asset organization on internal servers, and other remote collaboration tools
  • Strong ability to work independently with minimal oversight, and a focus on process improvements that minimize training requirements
