We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Animal Technician to provide exceptional care for animals in our facility. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in animal husbandry, health monitoring, and laboratory procedures while ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare and safety protocols.
📍 Location: Lexington, Massachusetts
What You'll Do:
• Dosing animals with different route of administration including PO, IP, and SC.
• Performs and records daily food and health checks on various pharmacology studies
• Performs post-procedural and post-surgical monitoring
• Performs sample and data collection
• Performs necropsy and tissue collection
• Receives and maintains adequate stock of animal care and research supplies
• Technical assistance with injections administration
What We're Looking For:
• Minimum of 3 years experience in animal science/lab support
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Hands on experience in rodent animal handling and in-life measurements.
• Hands on experience with bleeding and sample collection
• Experience in animal anesthesia and euthanasia
• Ability to review, comprehend and comply with all standard operation procedures (SOPs) and quality assurance standards pertaining to laboratory animals
