Job Description

Job Summary:  
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will support the lead teacher in creating a positive learning environment for children, particularly focusing on toddlers and those with special needs. This role involves engaging with students in their daily activities, fostering their development in literacy, math, and social skills, and ensuring that all children receive the care and attention they need to thrive.

Duties:

• Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans that promote childhood development and learning.
• Provide care and supervision for toddlers, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
• Support children with disabilities by adapting activities to meet their individual needs.
• Facilitate communication with parents regarding children's progress and classroom activities.
• Engage students in literacy education and math through interactive games and activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Collaborate with the teaching team to assess student progress and adapt teaching methods as needed.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.

Requirements:

• Experience or education in early childhood education or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
• Familiarity with special education strategies for working with children with disabilities is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with young children.
• Previous experience in private school settings or daycare facilities is a plus.
• High School Diploma/GED or higher required
