The Department of BioMolecular Sciences in the School of Pharmacy at The University of Mississippi is inviting applications for a part time Associate Research Scientist position. We are seeking candidates with expertise in the fields of environmental epidemiology, computer science, environmental toxicology or a related field who possess a record of distinguished and innovative research (as evidenced by a significant publication record).
The position will have research responsibilities in an air quality laboratory that include data collection and analysis of human health outcomes. Mentoring of graduate students, undergraduate students, and post-doctoral fellows within the laboratory will be expected. Experience with human health data (CITI trainings, IRB applications) and statistical software (SAS, STATA, R) is preferred.

Successful candidates will have opportunities to collaborate with the 19 full-time faculty within the Department of BioMolecular Sciences whose research emphases include pharmacology, medicinal chemistry, pharmacognosy, and environmental toxicology. Faculty have affiliations with the Research Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and collaborative opportunities in the National Center for Natural Products Research.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree in environmental toxicology, biostatistics, or a related field.
