Job Description

A highly skilled and experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead on behalf of the contractor, a multimillion dollar commercial electrical project on the vibrant Florida Space Coast.

The successful candidate will manage the critical electrical systems installations on what might be the largest building in the US. This role requires a proactive leader capable of managing complex electrical systems, collaborating with clients, and ensuring project success within schedule and budget.

Responsibilities and Duties

This Electrical Project Manager role will be responsible to:

  • Lead and manage the electrical installation team, coordinating all project phases from planning to completion. 
  • Oversee scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation to ensure project milestones are met. 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the client, maintaining strong communication and ensuring satisfaction. 
  • Supervise the design, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems, including switchgear, Main Distribution Frames, redundant power systems, and fire life safety systems. 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently, demonstrating a willingness to get hands-on when necessary. 
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety protocols, and best practices throughout all project activities. 
  • Manage subcontractors and vendors, ensuring quality and timely delivery of equipment and services. 
  • Maintain thorough documentation of project progress, changes, and reviews.

Desired Skills and Experience

This Electrical Project Manager role will have:

  • US Citizenship (due to the confidential nature of the project)
  • Proven experience as a contractor's Electrical Project Manager, ideally in large-scale commercial or industrial projects. 
  • Strong knowledge of switchgear, MDFs, redundant power systems, and fire life safety systems.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills with a client-facing approach. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, “rolling up sleeves” when needed. 
  • Deep understanding of industry practices, regulations, and safety standards. 
  • Business acumen with the ability to manage budgets and negotiate contracts effectively. 
  • Relevant technical certifications or licenses are preferred.

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

  • Engineering Degree or Master Electrician Qualification or equivalent and 10 years of relevant project management experience or
  • 15 plus years of progressive site management and project management experience including design, construction, delivery, commissioning, finance and general management.
