Description Our client is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Estate Planning + Tax Attorney to join our team in San Jose, California. In this role, you will focus on providing legal counsel and support in estate planning, probate, trust administration, and estate and gift tax matters. You will work collaboratively with colleagues and independently manage client matters while fostering long-term client relationships. Responsibilities - Provide legal guidance on estate planning, trust administration, and probate matters. - Draft and review complex estate plans, trusts, and related legal documents. - Advise clients on compliance with estate and gift tax regulations. - Manage trust administration processes, ensuring proper execution and documentation. - Collaborate with team members on intricate legal matters and client strategies. - Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through consistent communication and service. - Handle wealth transfer planning and offer tailored solutions to meet client objectives. - Represent clients in probate proceedings and other related legal processes. - Stay current on changes in estate and tax laws to provide accurate and effective counsel. - Develop and grow a long-term practice within a supportive and team-focused environment. Requirements - Expertise in estate planning, including drafting wills, trusts, and other related documents. - Comprehensive knowledge of gift tax laws and regulations. - Proficiency in probate law and probate litigation. - Experience in probate and estate administration processes. - Strong understanding of tax laws related to fiduciary, trust, and estate matters. - Ability to prepare and review trust tax returns accurately. - In-depth knowledge of trusts and estates law, including complex trust structures. - Familiarity with tax implications for trusts and estates, including strategies to minimize tax liabilities. - Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills in handling estate planning and tax matters. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with clients and other stakeholders.
