Position Overview

Delta Dental of Michigan is seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Developer to join our Application Development team. This role focuses on building and enhancing enterprise applications using Core Java, RESTful Web Services, and Angular. The ideal candidate has at least 7+ years of experience in full stack development, with strong problem-solving skills, analytical reasoning, and the ability to design scalable, high-performance solutions.

We're looking for a forward-thinking developer who can collaborate across teams, think critically, and communicate ideas clearly while driving continuous improvement in application performance and reliability.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and enhance enterprise-grade web applications using Java and Angular frameworks.
Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with back-end systems and databases.
Work closely with architects and business analysts to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Optimize application performance through JVM profiling and tuning.
Collaborate in Agile/Scrum development environments, contributing to sprint planning and retrospectives.
Maintain and enhance existing applications to meet evolving business needs.
