We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in Inverness, Florida. Join a well-supported, recently renovated emergency department serving a high-acuity adult population in a modern and efficient setting.
Position Overview:
Annual ED Volume:45,000 visits
Shift Coverage:
36 hours of physician coverage per day
40 hours of APP (Advanced Practice Provider) coverage per day
Patient Population:Predominantly adult and geriatric
Low pediatric volume (~6%)
No trauma designation
No OB/GYN
EMR:Cerner
Bed Count:28 private and bariatric-capable rooms

Strong hospitalist support team for admissions and inpatient care
Designated Stroke Center with tele-neurology currently being implemented
High acuity adult volume with access to advanced imaging and specialty support
Requirements:
Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM)
Active Florida medical license or ability to obtain
DEA license
Experience working in high-volume EDs preferred
Comfortable managing a wide range of emergency presentations in a non-trauma setting
