Job Description

We are hiring an experienced Electric Motor Mechanic to join our Indianapolis team on second shift. In this role, you will repair, maintain, and test industrial electric motors, generators, pumps, and gearboxes. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with AC and DC motors, strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, and a focus on safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, disassemble, repair, and test industrial AC and DC motors, generators, pumps, and gearboxes
• Perform motor maintenance and repair both in-house and on customer sites
• Use testing and measurement tools, including multimeters, high-pot testers, growlers, micrometers, and calipers
• Conduct failure analysis and document results accurately
• Follow OEM, EASA, and customer specifications for repairs and reassembly
• Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and quality checks
• Ensure compliance with mechanical and electrical safety standards

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of experience or relevant training in industrial electric motor repair, EASA certification, or military experience
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Experience with industrial electric motors required (automotive motor experience not considered)

Preferred Skills

• Motor winding experience
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards
