Summary:
Install, configure, and support an organizations systems or a segment of a network systems.
Job Responsibilities:
• Study and document present work flow and procedures. Identify potential computer networking and computer application areas.
• Configure and analyze email applications or virus protection software.
• Write, test and de-bug complex programs.
• Prepare system flow diagrams and develop systems procedures.
• Provide technical assistance and training to user staff and to programming and operation personnel.
• Prepare, coordinate and supervise systems implementation.
• Performs advanced administration requiring sound and thorough knowledge of specified operational products /services.
• Provides technical operational, analytical and research support to technical teams through both written and verbal communications.
• Drives incident resolution and root cause analysis of production problems.
• Administers, executes processes/procedures and addresses issues for products and services supported in Technology Infrastructure.
• May support analysis and report generation, exception processing and service management.
• Implements new products, services, and operational solutions as well as augments existing capabilities.
• Develops and maintains technical, operational and service procedures, as well as process workflows for operational/applications teams.

Education/Experience:

Position Location: 1st preference - Hybrid 3 days in office - 2 remote in Naples FL

Acceptable time zone(s): Open to all time zones
Working Hours: 8:30-5:30 EST - flexible if different time zone
Travel: Possibly a week a quarter - less than 10%

Reason for open position: replacement for offshore contractor
Potential for Contract Extension: Possibility of extension/contract to hire
This position is contract with the right to hire if a need becomes available. Manager will only look at candidates that are open to converting to a full time PNC employee. PNC will not sponsor work visas if the decision is made to hire the contingent worker.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Maintain the reliability, performance, and integrity of our MySQL database systems.
Manage PHP-based integrations between the database and external systems such as Zoho, our SaaS platform, and WordPress.
Implement and monitor automated ETL workflows, data pipelines, and sync jobs.
Collaborate on long-term data architecture planning, with a potential emphasis on Azure-based data warehouse options (e.g., Synapse, Azure SQL, Data Factory).
Proactively detect and resolve performance issues, sync failures, or schema inconsistencies.
Ensure best practices for security, access control, backup, and recovery.
Support reporting, compliance, and data validation requirements.
Document system architecture, data flows, and integration logic.
Must Have Technical Skills:
Strong experience managing MySQL in production environments.
Proficiency in PHP, especially for working with legacy integration scripts.
Experience working in Microsoft environments (Windows Server, Azure Active Directory, PowerShell basics).
Familiarity with RESTful APIs and webhook-driven integrations.
Experience with Azure services such as Azure SQL, Azure Blob Storage, and Data Factory.
Ability to optimize queries, tune indexes, and manage schema changes with minimal downtime.
Flex Skills/Nice to Have:
Experience with Zoho CRM, Billing, or Desk APIs.
Knowledge of WordPress database structures and plugin integrations.
Familiarity with Git, Power BI, and Azure DevOps pipelines.
Exposure to cloud data warehouse solutions like Azure Synapse, Snowflake, or Redshift.
Python scripting for ETL workflows or file/data manipulation.
Knowledge of Microsofts broader data stack (SSIS, ADF, SQL Server).
Familiarity with modern full-stack environments, particularly apps built with Next.js, Tailwind CSS, TypeScript, Drizzle ORM, and validation tools like Zod.

Education:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate) are a strong plus.
MySQL certifications or equivalent experience in open-source RDBMS administration is preferred.
