Job Summary and Qualifications

What you will do in this role:

As Office Coordinator, you will greet, direct, and assist patients for the department, subscribing to the philosophy that service to the patient is first priority.

You will obtain identifying information and proper registration upon patient arrival, placing all pertinent documentation in the patients' chart and into Meditech Admitting.

Advise technical or medical staff of very ill / uncomfortable patients, patient problems, or special requests; explain delays and account for all patients.

You must notify patient of appointment times, explaining tests / procedures, and / or delays, as appropriate.

Your role is responsible for the preparation, the breakdown and the upkeep of patients' paperwork and the Oncology charts.

Ability to use professional and ethical judgment and critical thinking when performing job duties is essential for your role.

What qualifications you will need:

High school diploma/GED

1 year of applicable job experience, required

Computer/data entry skill with high standards of accuracy and attention to detail, preferred
