The Patient Insurance Verification Coordinator (Spanish Bilingual) is responsible for supporting front office operations, verifying insurance coverage, and ensuring accurate patient intake processes. This role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish.
Key ResponsibilitiesGreet and assist patients, visitors, and guests with professionalism and courtesy.
Perform accurate patient registration, check-in, and check-out procedures.
Verify insurance eligibility, coverage, and benefits; obtain prior authorizations when required.
Collect co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances; manage cash and credit card transactions.
Maintain accurate and updated patient records in the system.
Provide general front-office support including answering calls, scheduling appointments, and managing patient flow.
Address patient inquiries, resolve concerns, or escalate issues when necessary.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and organizational confidentiality standards.
Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front office environment.
Basic computer proficiency; Microsoft Word and Excel required.
Ability to use 10-key by touch.
Bilingual: English & Spanish.
Experience in cashiering and customer service.
Credit card handling experience.
Knowledge of front office operations.
Health insurance verification experience.
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
3–4 years of experience in a medical front office, patient access, or related role.
Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel.
10-key by touch proficiency.
Strong customer service and cashiering background.
Experience managing credit card transactions.
Understanding of healthcare front office workflows.
Knowledge and hands-on experience in health insurance verification.
Preferred: EPIC, EMR system experience.
