Project Support Specialist

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide operational, financial and administrative support to department management
  • Compile summary level project reports for management
  • Assist department managers with development of standard procedures
  • Assist department and project managers in project setup and tracking, through software programs such as Smartsheet and SharePoint
  • Establishes priorities and allocates time to maximize benefits; manages time and competing priorities
  • Assist in developing projections for projects and pursuits
  • Utilize the quality assurance manual

Expertise Required:

  • 5 years’ minimum experience in a project coordination or similar role, within the Engineering / Construction industry preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
  • Comfortable in a project leadership role, including calling and managing meetings
  • Knowledgeable of basic project management principles
  • Basic knowledge of standard engineering practices, construction drawings, reports and specifications
  • Working knowledge of engineering and accounting tools, with an emphasis in programs such as Excel, Word and ProjectWise
  • Experience interfacing with corporate accounting systems
  • Aptitude to learn and use various project and financial management tools
  • Highly collaborative, and strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Demonstrated work ethic with ability and desire to work in a team-oriented organization
  • High degree of confidentiality and integrity with sensitive information
  • Ability to meet or exceed stringent deadlines
