Position Title: Registered Nurse – Ambulatory

Location: Syracuse, NY 13210

Duration: 13 Weeks

Job Type: Contract | Local or Travel

Shift: Day Shift | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Pay Range: $60 – $65 per hour ($2,400 – $2,600 weekly)

Position Summary

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Registered Nurse – Ambulatory for an exciting Travel or Local job in Syracuse, NY.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an ambulatory setting, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, addressing physical, psychosocial, and educational needs, and create individualized care plans.
• Administer medications, perform IV therapy, and monitor patient responses per hospital policies.
• Assist with outpatient oncology procedures and therapies while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, medications, and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate optimal patient care.
• Monitor for adverse reactions, complications, or sudden changes, and intervene as necessary.
• Accurately document patient care in Epic EMR to support continuity of care.
• Triage patients with providers to prioritize care in a high-volume setting.
• Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures, tests, and treatments.
• Maintain compliance with infection control standards, hospital policies, and state/federal regulations.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to achieve departmental performance goals.
• Mentor and precept new staff or nursing students when assigned.
• Demonstrate adaptability to meet the demands of a dynamic clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Current New York State RN License and Registration (active and in good standing)
• BLS Certification (must remain active throughout assignment)
• Minimum 1.5 years of recent acute care experience (within the past 2 years) in a comparable facility
• Strong nursing assessment skills with the ability to work independently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
