Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical at Bourbon Community Hospital summary:

As a Registered Nurse in the Medical-Surgical unit, I assess patient conditions, develop and implement individualized care plans, and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. I provide direct patient care, administer medications, and educate patients and their families on health management. Emphasizing quality care, I work in a supportive environment that values professional development and community health.

Position Summary:

1. Assesses the patient’s condition and nursing care needs

2. Sets goals and prescribes appropriate nursing interventions to meet physical, psychological, social and rehabilitative needs of patients

3. Develops individual nursing care plans

4. Implements care plans and makes revisions as needed

5. Evaluates patient care outcomes

6. Collaborates with physicians and other hospital employees

7. Administers medications, treatments and therapies.

8. Communicates with patients and oversees provision of care.

9. Provides patients and/or family with instruction and education relevant to condition.

10. Accurately documents nursing observations, assessments, medications, treatments, and other care given.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Associate’s degree in nursing Required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred

License: Current RN to practice in the state of KY

Certifications: Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire;
