Security Officer: MULTIPLE SHIFTS AVAILABLE - $27.50 / HOUR

We are actively seeking a high-energy security professional with exceptional customer service skills to join our dedicated team as a Security Officer. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in high-end customer service, excellent interpersonal abilities, and a keen attention to detail. This role involves working collaboratively as an integral part of a team of customer service-focused security professionals within a prestigious corporate building located in downtown San Francisco. The ability to demonstrate exceptional oral and written communication skills and maintain composure under pressure are critical for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Service & Assistance:
    • Provide exceptional customer service to all visitors, employees, contractors, and vendors, creating a welcoming and secure environment.
    • Offer professional escorts and assistance to employees as needed, demonstrating a proactive and helpful approach.
  • Security Operations & Response:
    • Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, following established protocols to ensure the safety of all occupants.
    • Ensure that all client Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are consistently met, contributing to overall client satisfaction.
    • Actively work to ensure the safety and security of all individuals, property, and assets within the facility.
    • Regularly check and monitor security systems, reporting any anomalies or malfunctions.
    • Conduct regular patrols of the facility to identify and address any security risks or concerns.
  • Policy Enforcement & Coordination:
    • Strictly enforce all established security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and maintaining a secure environment.
    • Coordinate effectively with other internal departments and external agencies as necessary, contributing to a cohesive security effort.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods throughout shifts.
    • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 lbs, demonstrating physical capability for the role's demands.
Qualifications

  • Age & Education:
    • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
    • Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience & Licensing:
    • Possession of a valid State BSIS California Guard Card is a mandatory requirement.
    • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug test is required.
    • Previous experience in a security role is essential.
    • Prior experience in customer service is required.
  • Skills & Attributes:
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial for clear and effective interactions.
    • Proven ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
    • Solid knowledge of security protocols and procedures.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, coupled with excellent critical thinking and time management abilities.
    • A great communicator who understands and values the importance of teamwork.
