Job Description

Salary: $101,400 - 183,300 per year Requirements:

  • We are looking for individuals who possess the following qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience or a Master’s degree with 6 years of relevant experience. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance or greater.
  • Proficiency in container technologies such as Docker.
  • Experience with container orchestration tools, particularly Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with cloud-first architectures, specifically AWS/Azure native frameworks, and cloud PaaS & SaaS services.
  • Proficiency in Python or another equivalent programming language.
  • Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Tekton).
  • A strong background in Linux system administration, especially with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
  • A commitment to adopting and adhering to best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong planning and prioritization skills for task management.
  • Capability to mentor junior engineers and lead technical initiatives.
  • The ability to perform high-quality work both independently and within a team, in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate and collaborate positively with team members.
  • Qualification for a baseline 8570 certification (IAT Level II) within 3 months of the hire date.
Responsibilities:
  • In this role, I will support the team through the following responsibilities:
  • After onboarding, I will train independently and with the team to develop knowledge about our cloud CI/CD designs and processes.
  • I will participate in an Agile process, planning my work in sprints and attending daily scrum meetings.
  • I will assist in designing cloud development pipelines, creating implementation plans, developing operational documentation, and continually improving cloud service implementations and designs.
  • I will evaluate and recommend potential enhancements for customer environments.
  • Collaborating with various teams, I will gather Infrastructure as Code (IaC) requirements for upcoming projects.
  • I will develop IaC and automation capabilities for application across customer environments.
  • Designing and implementing cloud-based deployment solutions for enterprise applications will be a key responsibility.
  • I will work on improving and troubleshooting existing container orchestration environments, focusing on OpenShift.
  • Additionally, I will assist in implementing and enhancing pipeline processes, including dev/test/prod builds and releases.
  • I will support git process flows, gitops, and the continuous improvement of our git approach.
