Job Description

Greenfield Engineering, a Saalex Company, is seeking a  Senior Software Engineer in Patuxent River, MD . This role involves applying advanced engineering principles to design, develop, and evaluate mission-critical military and aviation systems, ensuring compliance with stringent security and technical requirements.

Position Type:  Full-Time

Salary:  $160k-$180k annually (negotiable)

Work Location:  Onsite

Essential Functions:

• Apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate military weapons systems.
• Review and prepare engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.
• Perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, and acquisition/resource management.
• Analyze, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate software, components, or systems related to military weapons systems, aviation systems, avionics, and associated support systems.
• Other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

Required:

• At least 10 years of engineering experience , with 5 years  specifically related to aviation mission systems or avionics components

Desired:

• Experience with legacy  VH-3D Operational Flight Program (OFP)
• Familiarity with  VH-60N common Avionics Architecture System
• Knowledge of  VH-92A Mission Communications System (MCS)platform unique avionics architecture

Education:

Masters degree and 10 years of expereince OR Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience) and 15 years of experience.

Security Clearance:

Active  Secret clearance required. Must be eligible to obtain a  Top Secret with   Yankee White . Requirements include U.S. Citizenship and successful completion of a security investigation.
