Job Description



AECOM is seeking a highly motivated Architectural Intern to join our Buildings + Places Practice in Denver, CO. This internship offers an opportunity to gain practical experience and work alongside a collaborative team on meaningful projects that shape communities.

As part of our studio, you’ll:

  • Work with multi-disciplinary teams on public and private projects.
  • Develop hands-on skills that complement your academic experience and support your transition into the profession.
  • Contribute to a variety of tasks that provide a well-rounded learning experience in architecture and design.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Performs a variety of assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out tasks.
  • Performs entry-level work.
  • Follows instructions to accomplish tasks assigned by senior staff.
  • Meets required schedules while producing quality work.

Qualifications



Minimum Requirements

  • Candidates must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in architecture and must have completed at least 1 year of study. Candidates who have recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with a master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions. Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most recent school term, with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship 
  • Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship is required.

  • Two years of study in architecture or design. 
  • Demonstrates creativity, passion, and interest in planning and design. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask work on multiple simultaneous projects in a fast-paced work environment. 
  • Ability to work in a team environment and effectively meet deadlines. 
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. 
  • Proficiency in Revit, Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp, and InDesign graphic software preferred.
