Job Description

Position Summary:

The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee beverages and food items while delivering outstanding customer service. This role contributes to creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for customers and supporting daily shop operations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Greet customers warmly take accurate orders and prepare beverages and food items to standard recipes.
• Operate espresso machines grinders brewers and other café equipment with skill and safety.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace including counters equipment and seating areas.
• Assist with stocking inventory and receiving deliveries.
• Process payments accurately using the point-of-sale system.
• Provide friendly efficient and attentive customer service.
• Follow health safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
• Assist with opening and closing duties.
• Collaborate with team members and support daily operational needs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Skilled in operating cash registers point-of-sale (POS) and other business technology.
• Strong basic mathematical skills.
• Accuracy in handling cash making change and processing card transactions.
• Strong attention to detail when taking and fulfilling customer orders.
• Ability to operate espresso machines and other coffee equipment safely and efficiently.
• Effective time management and ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated teamwork reliability and a positive professional attitude.

Education Licensing Certifications - Experience:

• Previous Barista or customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
• Flexible availability including mornings evenings weekends and holidays.
• Passion for coffee and willingness to learn.

The work environment for this position is usually a climate-controlled environment with moderate to high noise levels.
