Senior Firmware Engineer We are looking for experienced low-level systems engineers to join our growing team. In this role, you will lead the development of safety-critical firmware for current and next-generation hardware used in advanced autonomous systems. You will work closely with the hardware team to write real-time firmware that enables control of autonomous heavy machinery. You will tackle challenging projects that push the boundaries of earth-forming autonomy. Responsibilities Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software, hardware, and systems engineers. Design and implement test and validation strategies for firmware releases. Build integrations and help design internal diagnostic tools. Develop communication, telemetry, and control interfaces. Debug and troubleshoot firmware issues in active deployments. Participate in code reviews and contribute to software quality improvements. Qualifications Experience with ST microcontrollers or similar (NXP, Infineon, etc.) programming environments. Proven experience using C/C++/Rust in an RTOS environment (FreeRTOS, Zephyr, etc.). Proficiency with communication protocols (I2C, UART, SPI, CAN, TCP/Ethernet). Experience with JTAG debuggers (SEGGER J-Link, Lauterbach, etc.). Knowledge of fault tolerance and safety mechanisms. Nice to Have Familiarity with MISRA C/C++ standards. Proficiency with modern version control systems like Git. Experience in low-level performance optimization in resource-constrained environments. Experience with integrated hardware, firmware, and software validation. Knowledge of hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing and simulation. Understanding of automotive safety standards (ISO 26262). Knowledge of cybersecurity principles in automotive systems.
