&##128295; Craft the Framework of Commercial Excellence - Join Suncoast Industries as a Structural Steel Detailer! &##128295; Position Title: Structural Steel Detailer Company: Suncoast Industries of Florida Pay Range: $70,000 - $90,000 per year, plus performance bonuses Industry: Commercial Structural Steel Fabricator / Erector Location: Fort Myers, FL 33966 Job Overview Suncoast Industries of Florida, an AISC-certified fabricator of Structural and Miscellaneous Metals, is seeking two experienced Structural Steel Detailers to join our growing team. This position plays a critical role in the production process by preparing precise shop and field drawings using SDS/2 software. Detailers work closely with Project Managers, Shop and Field personnel, and other stakeholders to ensure that each project is accurately executed and delivered with excellence. Key Responsibilities Interpret and review structural and architectural drawings and specifications Coordinate with Project Managers to generate RFIs and resolve discrepancies Prepare and revise shop and field drawings using SDS/2 software Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, contract documents, and company standards Implement changes from addendums, bulletins, and change orders into project drawings Support shop and field personnel with technical drawing-related inquiries Export CNC and KISS files for production and purchasing Stay current with SDS/2 updates and detailing best practices Qualifications Minimum 5 years' experience in structural steel detailing using SDS/2 High school diploma or GED required SDS/2 certification or NISD certification preferred Familiarity with AWS welding symbols, CNC output formats, and shop practices Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office tools Excellent organizational skills and acute attention to detail Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to interpret and troubleshoot blueprints and contract drawings Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and hold a valid driver's license Must be able to work onsite in Fort Myers, FL Benefits ~401(k) Matching Program ~ Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance ~ Life and Disability Insurance Options ~ Paid Time Off - Vacation and Holidays ~ Relocation Assistance ~ Weekly Pay Cycle ~ Performance Bonuses ~ Paid Training and Certifications ~ Career Advancement Opportunities Work Schedule Full-Time: Monday - Friday Typical Hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM Work Location ~ Onsite only at: Fort Myers, FL 33966 Equal Employment Opportunity We foster a family-like environment where every employee is valued.
